Palmetto Junior Paint Horse Club

About PjPHC

What better way to teach children about responsibility, sportsmanship and other life skills than through riding and competing on an American Paint Horse?

PPHC has a special interest in our young members and we have established a special Junior Paint Horse Club for our members 18 and younger. The PjPHC sponsors activities for our youth members such as beach rides, trips to the American Junior Paint Horse Association National Convention, and team participation in the APHA Youth World Show held in July.

Our youth are motivated through shows, community service projects and awards. The Palmetto Jr. Paint Horse club is over 80 members strong. We enjoy many activities throughout the year especially getting together and competing at the PPHC shows. Youth Director is Stephanie Moore-Phone 843-344-3148

    WE HAVE LOTS OF ITEMS ON OUR AGENDA FOR THE 2008 SHOW SEASON SO PLEASE TRY TO ATTEND THE MEETINGS!!!!

    ****ALL YOUTH ARE ENCOURAGED TO JOIN THE PALMETTO JUNIOR PAINT HORSE CLUB AND ENJOY ALL THE FUN WE HAVE PLANNED FOR THE UPCOMING SHOW SEASON!!!!

    An annual event is always to raise money at our awards banquet auctioning off donated items and baked goods. The youth also raise money throughout the year with the entries to the Open Tobiano Color, Open Overo Color, Open Walk/Trot Hunter Under Saddle and Open Walk/Trot Western Pleasure classes held in conjunction with the PPHC shows. The money raised is to help send a youth team to compete at the APHA World Show in the Team Tournament.

    Palmetto Paint Horse Club has established a scholarship fund in memory of Chelsea Lynn Tanner. Chelsea was an active Youth member of PPHC who passed away unexpectedly at only 15 years of age.
    Each year a deserving college student will receive a $1000 scholarship.
