Annual Awards Banquet
Saturday February 11, 2012

The annual awards banquet will be held on Saturday February 11, 2012 at The Quality Inn in Lugoff, SC.

Dinner will be served at 6:30 pm. After dinner, our 2012 officers and board of directors will be introduced, followed by the presentation of our 2011 year end awards.

The price of the banquet and dinner is $5 per person if reservations are made by February 3rd or $8 without a reservation. In order for our caterers to prepare ample food, it is required that we have an accurate number of guests by February 5th. As long as we have your reservations in advance, you may pay at the banquet. Don’t forget that PPHC is now accepting credit cards.

Be sure to get yours in by the first show in order to accumulate club points.

PPHC Now Accepting Credit Cards

We are now able to accept Visa, Master Card and Discover payments in addition to cash and checks.

We will accept credit cards for all payments at all shows. There will be a service charge of 5.00 for all credit transactions over 99.00. Credit cards will be processed at a secure site.

We are excited to be able to offer you this for 2012.

2012 Rule Changes to Note
All rule changes that passed at the recent APHA Convention become effective January 1, 2012. Current members may request a copy of the 2012 Official APHA Rule Book, available by the end of December, by calling the Forms Line at (817) 834-2742, ext. 271.

The proposed rule changes and clarificaitons will also be available on the APHA website at apha.com/forms/rulebooks.html

Of special interest to those showing are:

AM-205.A.2 Point adjustment rule for outside breed points.

AM-010.A. 1 & 2 Those holding cards in professional equine organizations (PRCA, WPRA, IPRA, WPBR, etc) will no longer be able to compete as Amateurs in the discipline for which they hold the professional card.

YP-110. B Youth Walk-Trot age changes from 5-9 to 5-10. Any youth that is 10 on January 1 will now be able to compete in Walk-Trot for an additional year if desired. AM-105, AM-110, YP115,

YP 120 Additional actions added to disqualification list for showmanship, equation and horsemanship. For 2012 knocking over a cone, working on the wrong side of the cone and going off pattern will be considered actions that will cause disqualification at a show.

AM-250 Equitation Over Fences will be separated from Hunt Seat Equitation and create a new category (C17) for Novice Eligibility.
